Monroe/Hooper

Johnson Monroe married Amelia Hooper 1 Dec 1781 Lunenburg County, VA.
We believe the Hooper family has other Monroe connections as well. In Loose Manuscript Hooper File, a letter from Felix W. Motlow dated 28 Dec 1942 to Director of Rhodes Memorial Archives, Atlanta enclosed a picture of an old Colonial clock. He stated it was known as the Monroe clock passed down through Nancy Hooper Goodlett's family. He said Nancy was a cousin of President James Monroe. Many of second and third generations named sons and daughters Monroe for 2nd names long before James Monroe became President. Searching for Hooper connections to Monroe family. Any help appreciated.
