I am looking for information on Jean Marie Monette, who married Marie Amable Franch in 1820 in St Benoit, Deux Montagnes. Marie Amable d. 1867 in L'Orignal, Ontario, Jean Baptiste d. 1854 in L'Orignal.
I think these are the parents of my ancestor Felix Monette. When Felix got married in Buckingham in 1861, his parents are listed as Jean Baptiste Monette and Marie Laframboise from L'Orignal. I can't find any evidence that proves without a doubt that Marie Amable Franch Laframboise and Jean Marie Monette are my Felix's parents, although there is a lot of evidence that suggests they are the same people.
Does anyone have further info that might prove me wrong or right?
P.S. The following children are listed for Jean Baptiste or Jean Marie Monette and Marie Amable Franche or Laframboise in various transcriptions of marriage, birth and death registers:
Jean Baptiste m. 1858, L'Orignal, Ontario
Theodore m. 1858, L'Orignal, Ontario
Alexandre b. 1843, L'Orignal, Ontario
Jean Marie d. 1824 age 5 months in Rigaud
Domitile d.1834 age 5 months in Rigaud
Felix b. 1836 in Rigaud
Can you add any more children? Are they all actually siblings? There may have also been a Louis and an Octave, but I haven't found any reference to them in transcriptions.
