I am descended through the Monett branch that roiginated in Calvert County and went to Greene Co., AL in 1817. They were:
(1) Isaac Monnet b. Niort, France, fled to London 1682, d.Calvert Co, MD ca 1739.
(2)William Monnett d.Calvert Co., MD, farmer along Chesapeake.
(3)William Monette m. Margaret Allnut, moved to Virginia (Rev War vetern)
(4)Rev. James Monett (1780-1834), chaplin with Andrew Jackson in Creek War, m. Rachel Fletcher, Lebanon, TN. Settled Greene Co., AL 1817
(5) William Fletcher Monette (1805-72), changed name to Monette in 1845; m. Mary Eliz. Sims, Erie, Greene Co., AL.
(6) Thomas Fletcher Monette (1845-95)
(7) Roland Lee Monette (1876-1931)
(8) Roland Lee Monette, Jr. (1907-81)
(9) Roland Edward Monette (Me) b. 1939.
Have extensive histories of all Greene County descendents branches and allied families.
