Permilia Moncrief married John W. Choate in 1844 Fayette Co TN and moved to Texas abt. 1846. They were both from Tennessee. There were a number of other Moncriefs married in Fayette Co. during that time (see a previous post). I'm assuming some of these Moncriefs were related because several family members include Austin Moncrief, Lucinda Moncrief Speer moved to Titus Co. Texas or Smith Co. Texas. If anyone has information on Moncriefs in Tennessee, please contact me. I've narrowed down the possible parents of Permilia to William or Samuel Moncrief who were probably from Georgia or Kentucky.
