Hi John and Vivienne,

just came across your postings - not sure if you're still following this thread but thought I'd add my 2-cents worth:

1. Alexander Moncrieff of Culfargie 1695-1761 was my 5th great-grandfather through their daughter Jean Moncrieff married Rev. Alexander Pringle, then their daughter Margaret Pringle married Rev John Jameson of Methven, then their son John Wilson Jameson married Jean Gray, then their son Rev John Jameson of Perth and Spain married Marianne Alexa Johnston, then their son John Wilson Jameson. This last person was my paternal grandfather. Phew - hope I got that right.

2. I have a book (The Lyons of Cossins and Wester Ogil) which if I trace the tree correctly shows "Jean, married reverend Mr. Blair" and Jean was daughter of William Moncrieff born 1729 son of Alexander Moncrieff of Culfargie.

Hope this helps.

P.S. I'm an Australian courtesy of my parents being 10-pound Poms in the 1950's.

Regards ... John
