I don't know how much information you'll find on Matthew, but his father, Rev. Alex. Moncrieff of Scoonie, is an historical figure in the Church and I remember reading about him some. Furthermore, if you have access to the book The Moncreiffs and the Moncreiffes, I believe it will have info on the folks you want...
