I'm trying to get some info on where my great-grandparents came from in Italy, and came across your message. Hopefully we'll help each other out?

My great-grandmother was Concetta Monaco, born in Italy in 1900 or 1901 (she died in '92). She was married very young to Girolamo (Gino) Cecere, and they came to the US soon afterward, settling in Baltimore, MD. After Girolamo died of tuberculosis, Concetta remarried, to Jerry Marcomin.

Together Concetta and Girolamo had 3 sons, Frank, Nicholas (my grandfather, 1921-2001), and Alfred. Concetta also raised 3 stepdaughters, from either Gino or Jerry's previous marriage (I'm fuzzy on that fact).

Any info pertaining to the Cecere or Monaco families will be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
