Thomas Molloy (or Moloy) 58th Regiment, Edward Moloy in Rochester, NY 1827

I am researching my Moloy ancestors. The furthest back I have got is to an Edward Moloy who was listed as a grocer in Rochester, NY in 1827. Edward had a brother, Thomas, who appears to have spelled his name Molloy. Thomas served in the 58th Regiment and likely enlisted in Ireland sometime in the 1820's. He ended up in Canada as did Edward's children. When and where Edward and Thomas originated and when Edward passed away and the identity of his wife is a mystery. Thomas and Edward appear to have also had a brother Francis. Any help in finding more details on Edward, Thomas or Francis would be much appreciated.
