Hi! Pauline,
My family were in Leek, much further back, moving to Bagnal between1720&1740.A brother of my ancester,stayed & had children born in Leek 1744-1759,2 girls & 4 lads.Perhaps your GGG,is from that branch?
Do you mean your GGgrandmother was born a Mollett, or became a Mallet by marriage? I have about 6 different spelling of the surname. Do you know your GGgrandfathers name?
