I just received the death certificate for Joseph Octave Moisan. He was a white, male and he was born in Quebec, Canada. He was 60 years, 11 months and 7 days old, so he was born about 1838. He lived in Illinois for 32 years. He died on August 1, 1898. He was married and his occupation is listed as a Machinist. Place of death was 700 Brynmaur Avenue. He was buried at Calvary Cemetery on August 2, 1898.
In the 1880 Census, Joseph Moisen is listed with his wife Celina, b. abt. 1843, Canada, and children: Ida, b. abt 1861, Canada; Amanda, b. abt. 1863, Canada; Harry, b. abt. 1865, Canada; Eugene, b. abt. 1867, IL; Emma, b. abt. 1870, IL; Edward, b. abt 1872, IL; Alice, b. abt. 1874, IL; and Clara, b. abt. 1879, IL.
I am looking for siblings and other relatives of my great great grandmother Margaret Moisan (1846-1894). She was born in Canada, but lived in Chicago when she died. Her husband was Etienne Dupuis.
