Have you got any further with your search.
My More family are in Caithness from 1700 with Dod More and Christian Adamson - More name with various spelling. I am looking to possibly coming from Inverness Moray Banff Abd area.
I don't so far have a Thomas around that time but do have a James More married Elspet Harper 1771 in Sarclet Wick.
