Did you get any further with your Scottish connection.
I am a Scottish MORE (but various spelling found). I have just found that my Y DNA I2b* takes me back to Germany at some time. I have my MORE in Scotland from 1690 app.
3000 years ago in Harz Mountains Germany. Skeletal Remains found. Has been severeal recent news items since reconstruction at caves.
