Hi! I'm a Mohnike, or I was before I got married! I have a ton of information. You are welcome to email me any time. At CLRJLR5@aol.com
I can't wait to hear from you.
From what I understand my great-great-grandfather had a different name when he came to America and added a couple letters to come up with the Mohnike name, and that everyone with the name is supposed to be related. But I found several Mohnike's in Germany. Anyway, my great-great Grandfather(Heinrich Mohnike) had 7 sons-Ferdinand, Albert, Henry, Edward, William, Charles, and Lewis. According to my info, Charles married Ruth Hilleary and his family first moved to NE then to CA, they had 9 children, Henry, Hilleary, Ruth, Louis, Paul, Evangeline, Faith, Horace, and Sherman.
Henry Mohnike moved to NE and stayed.
Lewis Mohnike farmed in OK until his wife died then to Arkansas and then later to CA. Maude his second wife resides in Monrovia CA.
I have a lot more information. Just let me know what you would like to learn.
