It's been awhile since your post; however, I thought this might help some.

People who WROTE down the records spelled them how they sounded. As many were Palatine & German Swiss names; they were spelled all kinds of inccorrect ways on the church records.

I suspect that the Emerick was really the Illick line from Hans Rudolph Illick (also seen as Jellig and Illig) to his son Johan Christopher Illick). I think the one you noted here was his daughter.
