Hi Peggy,
I think your James Mohan is my gggreat grandfather. My 94 year old, living grandmother also thinks this may be her grandfather. She remembers the name "Purcell" but did not know the relationship of the Purcell, because most adults after the turn of the century were refered to as aunts and uncles even if they were not related. Is it possible that another Mohan married another Purcell? I am very interested because this has been a brick wall for me. Did James move to Canada and then to Detroit? Maybe just his children moved to Detroit. If this is the correct James two of his daughters, Sarah and Anna) came to Detroit and married two Albro brothers.
Ruth
