I've recently started researching my family history.
My Grandfathers name is MOGAN, but the family name changed before he joined the British Navy in WW1 to MORGAN. From the information my father gave me, it appears that his family were from CASTLEBAR, which is on Galway Bay. I'm not sure whether or not he was born there or in Liverpool. I do know that he had at least one brother FRANCIS and at least one sister ANN(IE), but believe there may have been as many as 10 children. The parents died young and the elder children raised the family. My Grandfathers name was MICHAEL VINCENT (b.1893?) There may also be connections to the surname MOOGAN
