Can anyone help identify the John and Marjorie Moffat who were living in Oak Bay, Victoria, British Columbia around 1912? They had a house built there around that date. This couple seem to match a 'brick-wall' couple I am trying to trace. I am searching for a John Moffat who was an engineer, who married a Marjorie Mctavish in Iowa, USA circa 1907. They don't seem to appear in any census records in either Iowa or BC. Marjorie was 'home' in Scotland UK by 1915. Marjorie was an illusive character, who went by various combinations of names. She was buried in Scotland under the name Eilidh Marjorie Moffat, at marriage she called herself Marjorie McTavish, yet at birth she was Marjorie Thomson. Family letters refer to her as 'Madge'. This couple had a daughter born 1911 in Iowa called Nellie Edgar Moffat, who ended her days in Scotland with her mother. Any help much appreciated Notify Administrator about this message?
