Francis Joseph Moellinger - France to Missouri

I am researching my great-grandfather, Francis Joseph Moellinger, who is thought to have been born in Wettolsheim, France in 1831. I first find him in the United States in the 1860 census living in Syracuse, Morgan Co., Missouri. In the 1870 census he is living in Sedalia, Pettis Co., Missouri with his wife, Rose or Rosina, and his two children, Mary Ann Moellinger (born 1863 in Sedalia) and Joseph Francis Moellinger (born 18 Jan 1865 in Sedalia). Joseph Francis is my grandfather. Francis Joseph Moellinger was naturalized 31 Jul 1868 in Pettis Co. According to his naturalization papers, he filed his intention to become a citizen in Kalamazoo Co., Michigan. I have not been able to find his intention in Michigan, however. He bought property in Sedalia on 21 Feb 1868. Francis Joseph Moellinger died 4 Apr 1873 in Sedalia, Pettis Co., Missouri.

His wife and two children moved to St. Louis, Missouri about 1879. Rose/Rosina's maiden name may be Brill as I recently found a church record that says she was the daughter of John Brill. According to several census records, Rose was born in Ireland. She died 4 Sep 1897 and is buried in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Belleville, St. Clair Co., Illinois.
