I am still interested in why a past Lackey researcher thought my ancestor Elizabeth Lackey wife of George W. Lackey was a daughter of Strangeman Modglin. This researcher had Strangemon married to a Anapler Burns.
Known info: George W. Lackey b. abt. 1788, Georgia was married to Elizabeth b. abt. 1783, NC. They lived in Pope County, Illinois near Strangeman Modglin. There was also other Modglin's in that area.
My George W. Lackey moved to Washington/Benton Co., Ark. before 1838 then on to Fannin County, Texas by 1843. In 1852 his wife Elizabeth died in Fannin Co., Texas.
