In sorting out the lineage of Nancy and John G Moose I discovered a long lost forgotten detail that had been shared with me by Maudie Bostian Hedrick Years ago.
In 1850 Nancy Mock was living with her parents in Iredell county and unmarried,she ws the oldest child and about 34 which Means Aunt betsy Moser Mock was expecting when she married and was a child Bride if all of the family bible record is correct.
By 1860 Nancy Mock is a single woman with Four chidlren living in catawba County;

I am searching for the name of the Father of the children who bear the name Mock and later are described as Moose.
Mary Josephine Mock/Moose would later have four children by a neighbor Bill Moore.
They never married.

they all bore the Moose Name.
Lonnie would later Marry Arabelle Samaramis Fullbright a Grandaughter of Namcy mosck sister Sarah Mock Fulp
and Arey's first Husband Perry Jason Fullbright was Arabelles sister.
Mary Josephine Mooses obituary reports that she was 100 years old when she died in 1854 but she was actually about 96 .
Would like to hear from others of this line to help fill in some blanks and perhaps learn who the Father of Nancy's four oldest Chidlren was.
Lewis Moose was named for Lewis William Mock Nancy's brother who died in the Civil war leaving a widow and two children The widow was Elizabeth Stewart daighter of abner and Sarah Alexander Stewart.
Elizabeth M Moose was named for Nancy's Motehr Elizabeth aka Betsy Moser Mock.
Is there perhaps a clue to the Father of the Otehr children
in their Names???
