great to hear from you. my granfather was the oldest boy in the family. i can tell you that your great-great grandfather's name was also giuseppe maceri. i found that your great grandfather arrived in the us on 4-14-1909 going to my grandfather's home in detroit. i don't know if this was his original dateof immigration or not. he was 31 years old at the time. do you know the names of his other brothers and sisters? about my aunt that died. her son nick died a couple of years ago at age 80 and one of his sisters, mary degrazia was living in florida at that time, she has moved back to detroit since then, but is in a nursing home. my grandfather had eight children, flora(fara), grace(grazia), joseph(giuseppe), tony(antonio), sam(salvatore), paul(isadore),rosemary and anna marie. anna marie is the youngest born in 1919 and is my mother. she passed away in 1955. my uncle paul would be your cousin? have you explored the ellis island website? you can find out when your ancestors immirgrated and view the orginial hadwritten ships manifests that give clues to their destinations in the us and the relationships to the people they are going to. also things like height, hair color and occupation are listed. it seems that all or relatives are fishermen. i have also pulled up pictures of terrasini on the web, all you need to do is type in terrasini to bring up info. i am very interested in finding out all i can about the family. hope to hear from you soon.
