Linda,
I have a Malinda born 1823 in Monroe County, IN, forth child of James & Elizabeth "Clendenning" Moberly & sister to my husband's GG grandfather Josiah "Dolf" Moberly, born 7/3/1839 in Bloomington Monroe Co. IN.
Many changed the spelling of Moberly...to MOBLEY, when they left IN.
Josiah moved thru IL, on to Missouri, then on to TX.
Have you checked with Carl Mobley & the "MOBLEY" Files?
