In Allen Walker's Civil War pension file (which I have a copy), there are a few affidavits from a Jesse Walker living in Texas County, MO. From the age listed for Jesse, it would place his date of birth at 1837. Allen lists his living children as Jesse, William, and Elizabeth in a document in his pension file. Nothing in Allen's pension file lists the middle name of Jesse, but the date of birth matches as well as the fact that Allen had a son living in Texas County, MO around 1900. William Walker is my gg grandfather, and Allen Walker is my ggg grandfather.
