I am very curious about the Dennis family. Why? Because there is a few Dennis's living around the Mansfield,Mo.& when I ask them about Alice they pretty much told me they weren't related. As I've found out about the Lakey's they're all related one way or another.Anyway how far back have you went on the Lakey's? So far I've went as far as the 1700's to a Alexander Lakey. He seems to be the start of the Lakey clan here in the states. He lived in Maryland.I was always told they were from N.C.We have what we call the Red Bank,Mo.Lakey's who claim they are not related to the East end Lakey's.However they share the same parents Enos & Isabella Van Winkle Lakey as the East end Lakey's.I'll have to dig out my note book as I do have a lot of questions. Theresa
