Piedmont, MO, town picnics
Posted by: Georgia Daniels Robinson (ID *****9450) Date: October 04, 2009 at 16:44:30

I'm trying to find information about the town picnics that were held in Piedmont, MO, in the early 20th century. My father (Roy Daniels, b. 1916) remembered his father (J.W. Daniels, b. 1879) making homemade candy and orange-ade to sell, and he remembers the Daniels boys playing music for square dances.

Does anyone have any details about when these picnics were held? Exactly where? (near the "bluff hole" swimming hole?) What was included in these town picnics?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
