My Great-Grandfather Clarence Jackson was born Aug 22 1894 in Piedmont, Missouri. His mother's name was Artie. Clarence married Pearl Loyd and they had 5 sons and 4 daughters. Clarence died about 1989-1990. Clarence served in World War 1 at Camp Funston. He was discharged due to influenza. I have the record from when he joined the army July 17 1918 at age 25.
I need to, if possible, learn the name of Clarence's father and the maiden name of his mother (unless Jackson is her maiden name). I have Artie Jackson's death certificate, but there's no mention of a husband or parents. I found a 1900 census which lists Artie, her son Clarence, and her daughter Katherine (Kate, born about 1885). So, if Clarence's father lived with them, he must have been dead by 1900.
My Grandmother (Clarence's daughter) does not know any more about it than this.
Any help would be appreciated. Anybody know where I can find an 1890 Wayne County, Missouri census? Or any other info? I'm really stuck here. It's like the records don't exist.
Clarence's mother may have been from Shannon County, Missouri.
Any help at all would be appreciated. Thanks.
