William & Philena Thurman 1837

Trying to find information regarding my ggggreat grandparents William and Philena Thurman of Black River Township. They moved from Illinois and settled in 1837 in the Hazel Run area. Does anyone know where Hazel Run is located on Black River? I've recently been reading a history of Reynolds County that mentions practically every major settler of the area with the exception of William. It also appears that a major portion of these early settlers were born in TN and lived for awhile in Cumberland County, KY before settling the wilderness in early Washington County between 1810 and 1840.
