I have tried to get more info on Philip & Hester and wonder if you might help clear up some confusion since you have been to their gravesites.

Are there birth and death dates for Hester? I keep seeing the year 1798 given for Hester's birth. Yet everyone also says she and Philip married in 1808. No one got married at the age of 10 -- not now and not then. I am trying to clear this up and get a more accurate birth year for her. So I am hoping to either find her actual birth year on her gravestone or maybe an old obituary written on her that would have said how old she was at the time of her death.

Hester's parents were John Jacob Lanius and Sarah Catherine Spickard. No marriage date has been reported and the earliest birth year I have seen for any of their children is 1795. John and Sarah's birth years would put them in their 30s when this first child was born, which makes me wonder if they were married earlier and the birth years of their children are all off.

Understand my confusion? If you would rather contact me directly, just see the email that follows below.
