Silas HARRIS, ca. 1850

Looking for connections to my gggrandfather, Silas R. HARRIS. Silas was b. in Jackson Co., TN, in 1829. He married Susan M. PAUL, dau. of William B. PAUL and Lucinda GREENLEE, in Washington Co. in 1851. They lived in Crawford Co. where several of their children were born. Silas served in the Union Army. They moved to Izard Co., AR, about 1868.

Silas had an older brother, Robert D. HARRIS, who lived in Izard Co. as early as 1850.

There are 2 Silas HARRISes of about the right age listed in Washington Co. in the 1850 Census. One is living with the Benjamin SMITH family in Liberty Twp. listed as a laborer, age 21, no birthplace given. The second is with the family of Jno. (John/Jonathan?) and Milley HARRIS in Johnson Twp. listed as age 20, b. in TN. These may be 2 different men or they could be 2 listings of the same person. Can anyone connect me with Silas' parents?

Any help appreciated.
