Dear Mr. Saunders,
Thanks for your help. The only additional information I can give on Hattie (Gardner) Leavitt Herrington is that she was the daughter of Joseph Hogue and Sarah (Simmons) Payne Gardner. Her first husband was also her first cousin-once-removed, being the grandson of her aunt, Serene (Gardner) White, whose husband, Thomas, was a physician and stock farmer in Texas County.
Family lore says Hattie's only issue was a stillborn daughter by her first husband.
Do you know what Henry Laws Herrington did for a living or why he went to Idaho after Hattie's death?
Yours, Joseph H. Gardner
