Here are the Reid's I found in the Licking Cemetery;
Mary A.(28 feb 1814/19 nov 1909)wife of John
John W.(1837/1920)
Cinthia(1843/1923)
Ank??(1883/1962)
William R.(19 apr 1862/15 jun 1931)
Nancy C.(14 mar 1865/28 jul 1932)
Lelia(27 nov 1889/7 apr 1909)daughter of W.R.& Nancy
There was one Reid buried in the Big Creek Cemetery in Ozark township;
Almeda L.(22 jun 1830/10 dec 1881)
There was one Reid buried in the Long Hollow Cemetery in Roubidoux township;
Martha Ellen(1870/1920)
The Licking Cemetery listing is in volume One of the Cemetery Books.The phone number for the Historical Society is 417-967-3126.They are only open on Thursdays(they open about 10am).
I also found a Margaret Read married to an Alexander Orchard of Shannon County on Jan.6,1876.There was a Mary Ann Reed married to a Jasper Stogsdill on March 28 1869.
There are a lot of other Reids and Reeds and Reads in the marriage record books(sometimes the person filling out the record spelled the name how they thought instead of asking).If you think any of your people would have been married between 1850 and 1893 in Texas County,let me know and I can look them up.Hope this helps!Traci B.
