Lewis Moore + wife Nancy Skaggs: Taney 1870 Census
Posted by: v. suzanne sears (ID *****1949) Date: February 26, 2012 at 09:07:52

Trying to track this family:

Both Lewis Moore b.c. 1832 and Nancy Skaggs were born in Indiana:

they appear in the Taney census of 1870: not before and not after

Did they end up in Taney as a result of being kin to other Moores in Taney?

or

is that just an accident?

The one daughter Mathilda ended up in Tuscumbria Missouri married to a Whitt.........

Anyone know of any Sayers or Sears in Taney or nearby?
