John W. Brown and his wife, Susan E., are listed on the census of 1900 as residing in Beaver Township with children Wilton E., 17, and Floyd Brown, 12. On the census of 1910, John and Susan are at the same location, ages 69 and 64, respectively.

John Wilson Brown's death certificate can be found by going to this web address:

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and type in his last and first names, Taney County and the year 1917. Over to the right click on "view image" and the original death certificate will pop up. It indicates Mr. Brown was born on November 27, 1840 in Clay County, IN; that he was a physician who died of tuberculosis in March 1917 and is buried in the Brown Branch Cemetery on March 8.

According to this web site, Mr. and Mrs. Brown are buried in the Brown Branch / Dann / Clay Cemetery near the Taney & Douglas County line:
