In 1850 Taney County was made up of parts of other counties, it covered all of Stone County, southern half of Christian County and south west corner of Douglas , By 1860 it was nearly the size it is today, but still included the southwest corner of Douglas. Marion Twp might be in one of those places in 1850. Howard Boswell
