I am not related but thought I would offer this. I am including a link to the Missouri State Archives Death Certificates, 1910 - 1959. http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/ Andrew Jackson Hale's death is registered in Christian County. His death certificate shows that his father was Joseph Hale, b. MO and his mother was Mary Cavener, b. MO. I did not find a death certificate for Joseph Hale, but information at Search Family Trees indicates his parents were George T. Hale, b. TN and Elizabeth Dixon, b. IL. In the 1870 Christian County census Joseph C. Hale is shown with these parents. According to census records Hobart Hale's father was James S. Hale, b. MO, both parents b. TN The death certificate for James S. Hale shows he was b. 14 Dec. 1867, MO, died 24 Apr. 1948. His father is listed as Harlen Hale, and his mother as Nancy Estes. According to census records, they were both b. TN. I found that Harlan's name was James Harlen Hale. On the MO death certificate index it lists his name as Jas Harlen Hale. He was b. 10 Oct. 1834 and d. 24 Aug. 1911 in Christian County. According to census records, he was born in TN. On the death certificate his father is listed as Thomas Hale b. TN, and his mother as Mary Mulkey, b. TN. The Christian County Genweb site has a biography of James Harlen Hale, listing his parents as Mark Hale and Polly Mulkey. (Polly was a common nickname for Mary.) Perhaps Thomas was Thomas Mark Hale. Harlen Hale's siblings are listed, but as I recall, it stated that none of them came to MO. Both Hobart Hale and Lennie Hale have roots in Christian County MO, and there are TN ancestors for both (which was not unusual for many in MO). However, if they are related it must be a distant relationship. I was unable to find a relationship link through the death certificate information and available census records.
