Is anyone researching Henderson families in Stone County, Missouri or Searcy County, Arkansas? I'm looking for a Thomas Henderson, born about 1815 in TN who was living in Tomahawk Township in 1850. His wife is listed as Nancy, born about 1816 in NC. Children listed are Joseph N., age 10, Mary F., age 7 and James C., age 1.
In 1860 they were living in Williams Township, Stone County, Missouri in Household #367. Mary F. wasn't shown in this census as I suspect she was already married.
I think Mary F. could be my great great grandmother. If anyone has any Searcy County, AR data, or Stone County, MO. data, please contact me. There is a family tradition that Mary F.'s mother was 1/2 Cherokee Indian and went on the trail of tears.
