Some of the quilt signers were: my grandmother, Berta Horn (b. 27 Feb 1886), and her sister, Mary Horn (b. 31 August 1890). Their parents were Dr. E. P.(Eusebius Pierce)Horn (b. 24 April 1852) and Ruby Howe Horn (b. 06 November 1864). Doc Horn's parents were John Horn and Maria T. Howard~he died in Cherry Box in 1892, but Mrs. Horn was alive in 1895 and could have been 'Grandma, Age 81' that appears on the quilt. She died in 1898.

The A. B. Horn could be Albert B. Horn b. 29 December 1849~a brother to Dr. E. P. Horn.

I will look through my data base for other possible matches. What a great find! Thanks so much for posting this information! Best regards. harriet
