Morris Family
Posted by: Mark Lea (ID *****1867) Date: May 26, 2002 at 18:49:26

I am looking for any information on the Morris family of Shelby County. My wife's grandfather was John William Morris born in Aug., 1868, we believe in Clarence or around there. His family disowned him when he married a Southern Bell from Arkansas and moved there. None of his children ever knew the names of their grandparents. We know he had a sister, Agnes, who also was disowned when she married a man from France. It is believed that Agnes moved to the Pacific Northwest (Oregon or Washington). John William Morris's oldest child, Audrey, turns 99 on Wednesday, may 29. She is in excellent health and mind and wants desperately to know who her grandparents were before she passes on.
