Shepherd & Beddenger families 1860-1880 in Shelby Co.

I am searching for records on both the Shepherd and Beddenger families that lived in Shelby County between 1860 & 1880.

My great great grandfather was Jasper Shepherd and appears in the Shelby County 1880 census records with his wife Ellen Beddenger Shepherd. From her 1912 obituary from Adams County Illinois, she was born just outside Shelbyville in January 1860. Her fathers name was George Beddenger. No information on her mother's name.

Jasper Shepherd was born in Wapello Co., IA in Jan 1856, lived with his parents in Schuyler/Brown Co, IL in 1860-70. He married Ellen R Beddenger in 1877 in Missouri, and was living in Salt River Twp, Shelby Co., Mo in 1880. Sometime between 1880-1900 they moved to Clayton, Adams Co., IL, near where Jasper was born, and near his uncles and cousins there.

I have been unable to locate Ellen Beddenger or George Beddenger her father in US or Missouri census records from 1860-1870. The only information I have on her parents is that they were both born in Ohio.

If you have any information on these families I would appreciate hearing from you via email
