Bells of Shelby Co.

I’m researching 2 branches of Bells in Shelby Co., MO.

My GG grandfather, James Bell, was born in 1791 in VA. He married Elizabeth Eaton. They moved to Harrison Co., KY and had three known sons there: George E. b abt 1824, John J., b abt. 1826 and William H., b abt 1827. Then, the whole family, including several Eatons, moved again to Shelby Co., MO.

In Shelby Co., MO, 1857, William H. Bell m Mariah (Maria) Bell. She was b abt. 1838. It is thought that her parents were Samuel and Fanny (Frances?) Bell. I know nothing of them. Her siblings might have been Elvira, Nancy, Mary, Thomas, William and Samuel.

William and Mariah (Maria) had nine children: Susan, Cornelius (my grandfather), Arinda, Samuel, Emmet, Idella, Lewis, Leona and Frank.

Anyone with further information on these Bell families please contact me!
