Can anyone find Lewis Collins?? I have his marriage license to Josephine Legrand in Scott Co. on March 27, 1882. Then I have Josephine Collins marrying Zachariah Robertson on Feb. 23, 1884. She is 8 months pregnant with my great-grandmother. So Lewis dies around 1884. I don't know how old Lewis was or who his parents were. But have been told by relatives that Josephine did marry a Lewis Collins, but was not told that my great-grandmother was Lewis'. Don't know if she even knew. My grandmother didn't know or did not say. But my grandmother was told by her mother (my great-grandmother) that she was part Indian. It had to be from Lewis, and she did look part Indian. She had 3 step-sisters and they didn't look like her. Josephine was French descent. She was a petite women and very fair skin with blue eyes. My great-grandmother was darker complexion and she was tall for a women with dark hair and my mom said she had red highlights. She had very high cheekbones but she did have blue eyes.
So I need help in locating Lewis. I don't know if he was an old man or young. Can anyone help locate him? I have search all my resouces here in Al. I have been looking for him since 2002.
PLEASE HELP,
TAMMY
