I am a Missouri Strebler. I expect we don't have to go back too far to find a common ancestor. Our line immigrated from Alsace I think about the time of your grandfather's birth, maybe a little before. I just tried to look it up and didn't find it right off. They helped found the Catholic church there and settle the town with Rush Limbaugh's ancestors as well if I recall correctly. Michael Strebler is familiar, and I know there are Schmitts in there somewhere in my family tree, but right now I'm just not organized enough to figure it all out. We just moved, but if you want to email me at billstrebler <at> yahoo.com, all run together, I'll hopefully get around to it in a few weeks.
