Who are common grandparents between these two lines?
I am interested in migration patterns of the SAYREs.
I am not surprised that "your" SAYRE family moved through the rich farming land of Scotland MO at the same time as my GG Grandmother's family.
The THATCHER family into which Malinda married came to Philadelphia to buy land from William Penn in 1685.
Later members of the branch of my family bought land from Lord Fairfax and stayed in (West) Virginia through the 1700's.
Jonathan THATCHER, Malinda SAYRE's husband was born in Martinsburg, West Virginia in 1824 and died in Seattle, Washington in 1901 about 2700 miles from his birth place.
Malinda SAYRE moved from West Virginia and died of TB at home in Keosauqua, Iowa, about 900 miles from her birth place.
In all of my close lines, the period after the War of 1812 to WWII showed significant western migration.
Would you be so kind as to provide me with the link upward within the SAYRE family?
