States: Missouri: Saline
I've found some info: Elisha Wood (b. VA bef abt 1826, d aft 1900, MO) was the son of David Wood (b. VA) and Lucy (b. VA) (turns out her last name was Gay and that the Beem fam. tree on Ancestry is quite helpful for these folks . . . ). I still want to know who the parents of Susan Ann/Anna Baker (b 1824 or 1827; came from Hanover Cty., VA, to Saline Cty, MO, abtt 1846 , as did her husb; they lived in Longwood, Pettis Cty MO in abt 1861) were. I do know the names of all their kids: Eleanor Jane (14 Dec. 1846) (my great grandma), Chastine, George, Jasper, Newton, Elisha, Thomas (1858), Phineas (1858), Clifton/Cliff (4 Sep 1861), Maxine, Susan/Susie, Ida, Sam (Sammie)(1872)(you can kinda spread the birthdates over the time from Eleanor's and Sam's and be pretty accurate - except for the twins in 1858). (The family went before 1860 from Saline County to Heath's Creek Twp, Pettis, MO; they moved around.) (Chastine d 1926 and is bur Dresden Cem., Dresden, Pettis, MO.) (Jasper moved and was in Wilmore, Comanche, KS, in 1886. He homesteaded in that area with brothers Elisha and Clifton.)(Sammie married Christina Sadie Booth, b 31 Mar 1882, d 28 Sep 1975 [bur Powell Twp Cem., Wilmore], and they bought land north of Wilmore, KS, living in a sod house for a time; she remarried; both her husbands were farmers.) These were hearty folks!
