It could be that David was buried without a stone or that the stone had weathered so much it was unreadable when the cemetery was read.
The Saline Co. mogenweb site is under revision and some of the cemteries I looked at in July while searching for Blackerby's, I'm not finding today. It had cemetery listings by township. The listingI can presently use does not mention your two Swope,Pebley girls. No Pebley's.
I'll do some more looking.
