Thank you for your help, Gary. 2 of their children were found in the Longwood area of Pettis Co.
That would be my great grand mother Mary Emaline Alexander Swope { Jesse Swope } and her younger sister, Susan Frances Alexander Pebley. {David Pebley} listed as Orphans.

A possible brother John H. Alexander was living with a family in Columbus Mo. Johnson Co. I have found nothing more on Sarah Alexander the eldest sister.

David Alexander brother to Andrew Alexander is the uncle of Eli Alexander who is buried in the Mt. Herman Church Cemetery, North of Sedalia, Mo. Pettis Co.
Since the two girls had family ties to the Swope of Longwood, it's being assumed that David is the father of Mary and Susan etc..
1860 Census shows David as a Pauper living with John D. Kinkaid in Marshall..no mention of Barbara Smith Alexander.
This is why I assumed David must be buried in a Marshall, Mo. Cemetery....or close by??

Whew.... ;-)
Sharon
