Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

We are the Ortinaus from the Chicago area.
My father, Robert Ortinau, has done sone extensive research on the Ortinau geneology. He has also been in touch with the Ortinaus
from St Louis area. Although we are likely related, he has yet to find the common ancestor to both the St Louis and the Chicago Ortinaus. My father's dad (my grandfather)was Anton Ortinau and his father was Michael Ortinau. This may be the Michael you are referring to. Feel free to email me and I can forward any message to my father.

Eric Ortinau
