Looking for any information on the Portorique-Portorico family.
Antoine Paul Portorique/Anthony Paul Portorico
Elizabeth Portorique/Portorico
Marcelle Portorique/Portorico
Francoise Portorique/Portorico
Helene Portorique/Portorico
John Portorique/Portorico
ALL also found with spelling of Portorico.
Helene married Pierre Bequette son of Pierre Bequette and poss Marie Janis between 1756 and 1839. She is listed as daughter of Antoine and Elizabeth.
Antoine there as early as 1790's. In 1817 he takes in indentured servents Joseph and George Bowers. Owned land in town and farm.
Marcelle and Francoise may have been Antoine's parents,
Marcelle died May 24th 1828 at age about 74 and is shown on the register at Ste Genevieve Catholic Church.
Francoise, listed as his (Marcelle) wife, died Sept 22, 1830 and also listed at Ste Genevieve Catholic Church. She was 71 years old.
John Porotrico/Portorique is listed on the 1830 census for Ste Genevieve.
This is most of the information that I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
