My g-grandmother was Modeste' LaBruyere, or LaBuyere. She was born 2/10/1858 in or near, I believe, Beauvais Township, St. Genevieve county, since the 1860 Fed. Census places them there. Her parents were Louis LaBruyere and Elenore (she, b:MO). Louis and Elenore had 5 children:
1) Marie', b:1853
2) Louis, b: 1854
3) Felicite', b: 1856
4) Modeste', b: 1858. D: 1/24/1931, Herculaneum, MO.
5) Jules', b: 1860
Modeste' married William Kennedy 2/22/1878. The 1900 Fed. census shows them living in Perry Township, St. Francois county. Modeste' spoke fluent French.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
