He is meantioned in the "History of St. Louis City and County by J. Thaoms Scharf, Louis Events & Co., Phil. Pa 1833 page 185.
Also another note found was His HOMESTEAD was on the Missouri River adjacent to that of Daniel Boone.
HE is said to of been buried in Franklin Co, MO in the Cole Cemetery. (some say its now Howard Co, MO)
I descend from Robert Cole whom married Zipporah( I spell it like this because, I believe she was proberly named after the Bible, Moses, wife name was Zipporah

Missouri 1852 Robert J. Nilcura.( some of its hard to
read..it came from Benton County Record book and
is wrote is cursup..Book A page 158.
2. Daniel T COLE (Robert COLE1) was born 1830 in
Missouri. He married Eliza Ann MORTON September 2,
1852 in Benton County, Missouri, daughter of James
MORTON and Susanna LOUANNA Alexander. She was born
1835 in Missouri, and died aft. 1900.

Children of Daniel T COLE and Eliza Ann MORTON are:
Seth B. COLE was born Dec. 1856 in Warsaw,
Benton County, Missouri, and died 21 Nov. 1934 in
Aransas Pass, San Patricio Co., Texas.
James Robert COLE was born 31 Mar. 1855 in
Warsaw, Benton County, Missouri, and died 14 Oct. 1925
in Fort Smith, Arkansas buried at Oak Cemetery, Fort
Smith, Ark, sec.40 row3.
By 1860 census Daniel is gone.
I have been told that while Eliza was preg. with Seth
who was born in 1856, Daniel and Eliza's father James
both very good with guns, they got into a fight and
Daniel accidently? shot and killed James Morton
(Eliza's father)he took off, and was never heard from
again or spoken about again. They say the family is
very hush hush about this. We believe that Seth was
named after Seth B. Howard who married one of Eliza's
sister, Martha E. Morton.
In 1862 Eliza remarries to a Charles L. Sharp.
